Welcome to Lucy Clark counselling
Hello, and a warm welcome to my website. I’m Lucy — a qualified, trauma-informed Person-Centred counsellor offering one-to-one therapy for adults facing life’s difficulties.
I work with individuals aged 18 and over in Llandudno, providing sessions in person, online, or over the phone. This flexible approach helps make counselling more accessible to Llandudno clients, no matter your circumstances.
At times, life can feel heavy or confusing, and it’s easy to feel stuck. Whether you’re working through something from the past or struggling with more recent events, you don’t have to face it alone. I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space where things can begin to feel lighter and more manageable.
If you’ve found your way here, you’ve already taken a meaningful first step. Together, we can gently explore what matters to you — at your own pace, and with kindness and respect. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting – whatever has brought you here, all parts of you are welcome.
It’s completely understandable to feel hesitant about starting counselling. Here, you’ll find a calm and supportive environment where you can pause, be truly heard, and begin to move forward with confidence and care.
Why I became a counsellor
I’ve long felt a deep connection to understanding people — their feelings, experiences, and the personal stories that influence who they are. My own life path has taught me just how transformative it can be to feel genuinely heard and understood. This insight inspired me to train as a Person-Centred counsellor, and it’s now a privilege to walk alongside others as they navigate their own challenges.
Trauma & PTSD
Domestic abuse
Abusive behaviours
Managing anxiety & panic attacks
Depression & low mood
Self-esteem & self-worth issues
Relationship difficulties & attachment wounds
Reducing stress
Enchancing emotional well-being
Grief & loss
Identity & self-discovery
Life transitions & personal growth
While I’ve outlined areas where I can offer support, I understand that life’s challenges rarely fit neatly into predefined categories. Each person’s experience is unique, with different aspects of life often intertwining in unexpected ways. No matter what you’re facing, you will be met with compassion, understanding, and respect.
Counselling sessions
Private & personal counselling
I provide one-to-one, in-person counselling sessions at Penrhos Manor in Colwyn Bay and remote online sessions for those in Llandudno who prefer remote support, via Zoom, Google Meet, or over the telephone. Each session lasts 50 minutes, though if you feel a longer or shorter session would suit you better, we can discuss this together.
Sessions are usually held once a week at a time that feels comfortable and manageable for you. Regularity plays an important role in the counselling process, so we’ll work together to agree on a schedule that fits around your life. You’re welcome to keep a consistent weekly slot or, if needed, select a time from the available options each week.
The frequency of sessions is something we’ll decide collaboratively and can adjust as we go, depending on your needs. I understand that life is unpredictable and will always do my best to be flexible and accommodating.

Testimonials
My clients’ heartfelt testimonials capture the genuine nature of our sessions together.
Words will never be enough to explain how much you have done for me. I could not have got through this stage without you. A huge weight has been lifted from me and I feel free for the first time ever.
All I can do is to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Yours is not a job, it’s a vocation. I know you will go on to better many more lives as you have mine
Lucy made me feel at ease from the start. I have had counselling in the past and have never been able to stick to it. But Lucy has such a beauty aura about her that instantly put me at ease and comfort
Lucys professional, reassuring, knowledgeable, calm and organised method of working helped me more than words can say
Thanks to Lucy, I now have a new perspective on life. I feel so much more free and a lot lighter than I did at the beginning of counselling
I was equipped with grounding techniques that were very useful and I will continue to use throughout. I currently don’t have any suggestions for improvements
When I first came to counselling, I thought I would feel this severe anxiety forever. I couldn’t see how things could ever be different. I now feel more myself and more human for the first time in a long time. I felt seen and understood and I can’t thank Lucy enough
I’m so thankful I was able to work with Lucy as my counsellor, she was so lovely and very easy to be around she made me feel very comfortable every session and I was able to open up about things I never have. Very grateful to have found her. Thank you
I found Lucy very helpful and very easy to open up with. She was great with me the whole time. She gave me lots of information to help me understand certain things and really listened to me. I can’t think of anything else she could’ve done
I found the whole experience very beneficial and a safe and supportive environment was created from the get go. For me personally, it was beneficial having Lucy repeat back what she understood from what I was trying to say, it helped me feel confident in the process and felt understood. As a neurodivergent person I felt very understood by her and comfortable discussing my ND with her
I am very very grateful for the service Lucy offered. I can wholeheartedly say, that without the amazing support and work that you do, I would not be in the position I am now. I felt so accepted, safe and listened to. It was a pressure free environment and I was able to be myself
Having someone listen and validate my feelings really helped. Giving me a safe space to unpack everything that happened, look at it in a non judgmental way and help me understand my own emotions was very effective. Learning grounding techniques has also helped me to regulate me emotions in tough times
This service was super helpful, I feel like I can move forward with my life instead of feeling stuck in the past. I feel like Lucy has given me immeasurable help in all aspects, from helping me cope with what happened to helping me manage my emotions
I had never had counselling before, and didn’t know what to expect. Instantly I felt at ease and the relationship and trust between myself and my counsellor felt so natural. This allowed me to feel safe to explore my issues. For me and how I like things, the face to face option was so beneficial. I have limited social interaction as it is, it’s something I miss
Lucy was really kind and caring, allowing me to speak and made me feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable whereas previously in therapy (in other services) i have not felt this way
Lucy has helped me so much, even though i know i cant change what has happpened to me, she made me feel seen and heard and valued as a person and i will always remember her for all of her help in my healing journey
