Counselling
When seeking support, it’s important to know you’re in safe, capable hands. As a fully qualified and licensed counsellor, I offer professional, ethical, and compassionate care grounded in recognised training and experience.
My approach
My approach is collaborative and adaptable, ensuring our sessions unfold in a way that feels right for you. Rather than offering advice or direction, I aim to support you in deepening your self-understanding and developing the tools you need to live a more fulfilling life.
Rooted in the Person-Centred approach, my practice is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and respect for your autonomy. I take a relational, humanistic stance that places you at the centre of our work, valuing the therapeutic relationship as a space for growth and exploration.
With specialised training in trauma-informed care, I work sensitively and responsively, tailoring the process to your individual needs. I recognise the deep connection between mind and body in healing, and often integrate body awareness practices to support this.
To enhance emotional regulation, resilience, and present-moment awareness, I incorporate mindfulness and grounding techniques into our work. These practices help you stay connected to your inner resources, manage distress, and ensure our work remains client-led.
Alongside my Person-Centred foundation, I draw on elements of Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), which supports clients in exploring and transforming difficult emotions. EFT can be especially helpful in deepening emotional awareness, processing unresolved experiences, and fostering self-compassion.
I also integrate aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which can offer structure and practical tools. CBT supports clients in identifying and reframing unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, creating meaningful, sustainable change.
Creative methods are used where beneficial, allowing us to work in ways that feel most effective and meaningful for you. My integrative approach ensures that your voice, needs, and pace guide the process, creating a safe and empowering therapeutic space.
Additionally, I offer Rewind Therapy, which can be integrated into ongoing sessions or delivered as a one-off intervention, with no obligation for further appointments.

Testimonials
My clients’ heartfelt testimonials capture the genuine nature of our sessions together.
Words will never be enough to explain how much you have done for me. I could not have got through this stage without you. A huge weight has been lifted from me and I feel free for the first time ever.
All I can do is to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Yours is not a job, it’s a vocation. I know you will go on to better many more lives as you have mine
Lucy made me feel at ease from the start. I have had counselling in the past and have never been able to stick to it. But Lucy has such a beauty aura about her that instantly put me at ease and comfort
Lucys professional, reassuring, knowledgeable, calm and organised method of working helped me more than words can say
Thanks to Lucy, I now have a new perspective on life. I feel so much more free and a lot lighter than I did at the beginning of counselling
I was equipped with grounding techniques that were very useful and I will continue to use throughout. I currently don’t have any suggestions for improvements
When I first came to counselling, I thought I would feel this severe anxiety forever. I couldn’t see how things could ever be different. I now feel more myself and more human for the first time in a long time. I felt seen and understood and I can’t thank Lucy enough
I’m so thankful I was able to work with Lucy as my counsellor, she was so lovely and very easy to be around she made me feel very comfortable every session and I was able to open up about things I never have. Very grateful to have found her. Thank you
I found Lucy very helpful and very easy to open up with. She was great with me the whole time. She gave me lots of information to help me understand certain things and really listened to me. I can’t think of anything else she could’ve done
I found the whole experience very beneficial and a safe and supportive environment was created from the get go. For me personally, it was beneficial having Lucy repeat back what she understood from what I was trying to say, it helped me feel confident in the process and felt understood. As a neurodivergent person I felt very understood by her and comfortable discussing my ND with her
I am very very grateful for the service Lucy offered. I can wholeheartedly say, that without the amazing support and work that you do, I would not be in the position I am now. I felt so accepted, safe and listened to. It was a pressure free environment and I was able to be myself
Having someone listen and validate my feelings really helped. Giving me a safe space to unpack everything that happened, look at it in a non judgmental way and help me understand my own emotions was very effective. Learning grounding techniques has also helped me to regulate me emotions in tough times
This service was super helpful, I feel like I can move forward with my life instead of feeling stuck in the past. I feel like Lucy has given me immeasurable help in all aspects, from helping me cope with what happened to helping me manage my emotions
I had never had counselling before, and didn’t know what to expect. Instantly I felt at ease and the relationship and trust between myself and my counsellor felt so natural. This allowed me to feel safe to explore my issues. For me and how I like things, the face to face option was so beneficial. I have limited social interaction as it is, it’s something I miss
Lucy was really kind and caring, allowing me to speak and made me feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable whereas previously in therapy (in other services) i have not felt this way
Lucy has helped me so much, even though i know i cant change what has happpened to me, she made me feel seen and heard and valued as a person and i will always remember her for all of her help in my healing journey
